That Explains Things | Founder
Above all else, Nick regards himself as a writer – his other achievements come later. He is the founder of That Explains Things, a language strategy studio that helps brands discover the tone of their communication and decide how best to tell their stories. He developed a method he calls Voicebox, which he uses to work with a wide variety of brands.
Nick also recommends reading his personal newsletters, Tone Knob and The Notices, where he shares examples and various intricacies of brand languages. He has written several books. The latest one, On Reading, as Nick himself says, may forever change the way we read.
