Vytautas Katkus is a cinematographer and film director. As a cinematographer, he collaborates with various Lithuanian directors, including “Akiplėša” (directed by Saulė Bliuvaitė, 2024), “Renovacija” (directed by Gabrielė Urbonaitė, 2025), “Dulkės, kaulai ir stebuklai” (directed by Aistė Žegulytė, 2025), “Techno, mama” (directed by Saulius Baradinskas, 2021), and others.
He has also directed three short films: “Community Gardens” (Kolektyviniai sodai, Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival, 2019), “Places” (Miegamasis rajonas, Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival, 2020), and “Cherries” (Uogos, Main Short Film Competition at the Cannes Film Festival, 2022).
His debut feature film “The Visitor” (Svečias) premiered in the main competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where he won the Best Director award.
